Absolutely. The ceremony will be traditional and reverent, true to our Orthodox faith, and we ask that you honor that with us. But once we get to the reception, expect the energy to shift. We're planning to blow the roof off the place by the end of the night, and we intend to have fun with our guests every chance we get, Friday through Monday. Come ready for both sides of the weekend.

Kindly RSVP by the seventh of August, 2026. If we have not heard from you by then, we will sadly have to mark you as unable to attend, as final counts are due to our venue.

To help us plan our celebration, the number of seats reserved for your party is indicated on the RSVP form. When you enter your name on the RSVP Page, you will see everyone included in your invitation. If your invitation includes a plus-one, you will either see their name listed or have the option to add them. We kindly ask that you attend with only the number of guests reserved, as our venue has limited capacity.

Children are a blessing, and we are delighted to celebrate with them. The number of seats reserved for your household, including children, is indicated on the RSVP form. Infants and toddlers who do not require their own seat or a meal (generally those under two years old) are welcome to attend and do not count toward your reserved guest total.

Our families will begin arriving in Nashville on Thursday. If you are able to arrive by Friday evening, please join us for welcome drinks at 7:00pm at Drusie & Darr — all out-of-town guests are warmly invited.

Staying at The Hermitage will provide the most seamless wedding-weekend experience. You will already be at the reception venue and can simply take the elevator to your room at the end of the evening. Since opening in 1910, the hotel has welcomed U.S. presidents, celebrated entertainers, and other distinguished guests from around the world, earning an internationally renowned reputation for its hospitality, historic character, exceptional accommodations, and outstanding culinary program.

Our secondary hotel recommendation is The Sheraton Grand Nashville Downtown, located directly across the street from The Hermitage. It is easily walkable to and from the reception and may offer a more economical option for some guests. However, we recommend comparing its rate with the discounted Hermitage rate before booking, as the difference may be smaller than expected.

Guests who prefer Hilton properties may also wish to consider the DoubleTree by Hilton Nashville Downtown, a slightly longer but still walkable alternative that may also offer competitive rates.

While accommodations farther from downtown may offer modest savings, staying nearby will make the weekend considerably easier and more enjoyable. You'll be close to the reception, free to enjoy the evening without worrying about transportation, and within walking distance of many of downtown Nashville's restaurants, attractions, and entertainment. Both of our recommended hotels also make rideshare simple for exploring destinations beyond downtown. Because hotel rates and availability may change as the wedding approaches, we encourage guests to reserve their accommodations early.

The wedding is 100% indoors—from the ceremony to the reception—and entirely in the comfort of glorious air conditioning.

Please be seated by 2:45 PM CST on Sunday, September 13, 2026 at St. Ignatius Orthodox Church in Franklin, Tennessee.

We will not be providing a shuttle between the ceremony and reception. As many of our guests will have their own vehicles, and rideshare services are readily available throughout Nashville, we felt guests would appreciate the flexibility to travel on their own schedule.

This allows you to depart for the ceremony or reception whenever you're ready, without being tied to a shuttle timetable. Parking is available at both venues, and transportation options are outlined elsewhere in this FAQ.

Ample on-site parking is available at St. Ignatius Orthodox Church, including reserved spaces for guests with limited mobility. There is sufficient parking for all wedding guests, and no parking fee is required.

For guests traveling from out of town, we recommend renting a car to make getting around Nashville as convenient as possible. Rideshare services such as Uber and Lyft are also readily available to and from the church should you prefer not to drive.

We strongly recommend using the valet service at The Hermitage Hotel. At $35 (inclusive of tax), it is likely to be the most convenient, and often the most economical, parking option available.

Guests staying overnight at the hotel will receive an overnight valet rate, which includes unlimited in-and-out access throughout their stay.

With the Tennessee Titans' season opener taking place the same day, many nearby garages are expected to fill early or charge event pricing. Those that remain available are often similarly priced to valet while requiring a longer walk to the hotel. Rather than searching for parking or walking several blocks in formal attire, we encourage you to take advantage of the hotel's valet service and spend that time enjoying the celebration.

If you plan to enjoy the open bar, we encourage using a rideshare service or staying overnight. Our recommended hotel is The Hermitage Hotel, where the reception will be held, allowing you to simply take the elevator to your room at the end of the evening. While we recommend renting a car if you plan to explore Nashville beyond the downtown area, it is certainly not required for the wedding weekend. Between the walkable downtown, readily available rideshare services, and the proximity of our recommended hotels to the reception, many guests will find they can comfortably enjoy the weekend without driving.

If you'll be in town for Sunday morning, we'd love to recommend two wonderful Orthodox parishes. St. Ignatius Orthodox Church, where we'll be married, celebrates Divine Liturgy at 10:00 a.m. Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church also begins at 10:00 a.m. and holds special significance for us, as it is where Alec was baptized and chrismated. 

Whether you are Orthodox or simply curious to learn more about the faith, you are warmly invited to "come and see." 

We will have a full open bar for 6 hours at the reception, you are welcome.

We will have professional photographers and videographers present throughout the ceremony and look forward to sharing their photographs with you afterward. Out of reverence for the sanctity of the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony and to allow everyone to be fully present, we kindly ask that guests refrain from taking photographs or videos during the ceremony. 

Please list any dietary restrictions or food allergies for every member of your party using the RSVP form. The Hermitage Hotel's culinary team will gladly accommodate these requests, and we are confident they will prepare the same exceptional cuisine for which the hotel is known.

If your dietary need is not listed among the available options, please include a clear description of the restriction, along with the guest's name, in the RSVP comments. We will ensure that this information is shared directly with the culinary staff.

Yes! At 11:00 pm we would love for all of our guests to walk Samantha and Alec to the elevator for a joyful goodbye.
